If you combine strong multitasking skills and excellent attention to detail with an understanding of inventory movement and the ability to use an RF scanner, the role of Production Clerk 2 delivers some great opportunities. In this role, you will:
  • Take ownership of a key position at the front end of our Bistro production lines and make an impact by serving as the "gatekeeper" for production while transacting 100+ different ingredients and materials and ensuring proper inventory movement and control. 
  • Leverage your strong interpersonal and communication skills as you ensure the accuracy of inventory and work with a variety of team members to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • Enjoy strong training, including safety training and forklift certification, as well as cross-training in multiple operational areas of the facility. For example, you will be assigned to Bistro but could work on the Salad or Snack lines when needed. 
  • Leverage what you learn and showcase your potential to take on additional responsibilities and advance in Production or other areas of our organization, if desired. Prove yourself in this role, and you could pursue a lead position as the Frontline Coordinator role.

To be a good fit for the position of Production Clerk 2, you will have:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar warehouse production role, including inventory control and movement of product both physically and in the system.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Willingness to work in a cold (approximately 34 degrees), wet, fast-paced, 24-hour plant environment Quick question for you - click here
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, ERP software such as JD Edwards
  • Experience using an RF scanner in an inventory/warehouse environment
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to understand plant KPI’s (production, quality & safety)
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills 
  • An understanding of the importance of food safety; food industry experience preferred
  • The ability to work both independently and as a strong team member
  • Ability to be crossed trained and multitask in multiple positions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Experience in the food production industry is preferred
  • Forklift and/or electric pallet jack experience is a plus; we will train and certify you 
You will work the first shift beginning at 5:15 AM and ending when the shift's production is complete. Production Clerk 2s tend to consistently work overtime to property check and return to inventory any unused product. Your standard days off are Thursday and Sunday, but we'll also look to you to be flexible in your schedule to help meet the demands of the business.

Role Overview 
Reporting to the Team Lead - Bistro, as the Production Clerk 2, you will play a key role within our manufacturing plant as you help drive production to the highest safety, quality and efficiency standards. Your main responsibility will be the allocation and continuous supply of inventory of raw product to the production line, and you can expect to be exposed to multiple refrigerated areas within production throughout the day. 

Day in the Life 
You’ll start each morning by printing out the appropriate paperwork for your assigned lines and taking it into the Warehouse. From there, it will be your job to verify the inventory (quantity, correct materials and license plate, quality, temperature, etc.) that the Warehouse is bringing is correct for that day’s production. Everything that goes into the room will need to be scanned accurately and at the right time. You will also be responsible for creating and building “families” for the lines and ensuring that the materials are correct and ready to go. At the end of the day, you will manage the reconciliation process and ensure the products go back to the right place. 

More specifically, you will be responsible for:
  • Following GMP, PPE, and Safety guidelines.
  • Following and maintaining HACCP & Sanitation guidelines and processes.
  • Confirming that the product coming into the room is going to the correct line (accuracy is vital to traceability).
  • Understanding yield standards.
  • Working safely around moving equipment and conveyors in wet environment.
  • Visually checking for defects, foreign objects, size, color, quality).
  • Adhering to schedule.
  • Maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Running product from clean kitchen to the line.
  • Complying with SQF Regulatory Programs (USDA).
  • Using a DSI scanner to allocate inventory to various production work orders for organic and non-organic condiments and Prep  Produce.
  • Obtaining and verifying Prep release dates and times.     
  • Scanning all items set by the work order prior to the decanting section for condiments and prep produce.
  • Performing daily inventory counts and adjustments.
  • Performing work order closing activities on a daily basis.
  • Reporting nonconformance ingredients to QA and Procurement. 
  • Keeping up with inventory on the assembly line and restocking when product is low.
  • And more.
This is a fast-paced role with a lot of moving parts. You will interface with a variety of contacts throughout the facility including Receiving, Production, QA, Procurement and others. ​
