To be a good fit for the Production Clerk 2 opportunity, you will have:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar warehouse production clerk role (inventory correction, inventory verification, inventory management, warehouse / production, etc.) Quick question for you - click here
  • Willingness and flexibility to work in a cold (approximately 34 degrees), wet, fast-paced, 24-hour plant environment
  • Comprehension of basic math
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, JDE/DSI/RPDMS)
  • Experience using a scanner in an inventory / warehouse environment. DSI Scanner experience preferred 
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to understand plant KPI’s (production, quality & safety)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • GED/High School Diploma
  • An understanding of the importance of food safety
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 

Your shift will start at 6:30 a.m. and end time is variable depending on when production is done for the day. 

Normal days off will be Sunday and Thursday. We'll also look to you to be flexible. Many of the areas where you'll work are temperature-controlled; most are below 50° and some are 36°.

Role Overview 
Reporting to the Team Lead - Bistro, as the Production Clerk 2, you will play a key role within our manufacturing plant as your support our production Team Leads as they drive production to the highest safety, quality and efficiency standards. Your main responsibility will be the allocation and continuous supply of inventory of raw product to the production line, and you can expect to be exposed to multiple refrigerated areas within production throughout the day. Quick question for you - click here

Day in the Life 
You’ll start your day each morning by printing out the appropriate paperwork for the lines and taking it into the Warehouse. From there, it will be your job to verify the inventory (quantity, correct materials and license plate, quality, temperature, etc.) that the Warehouse is bringing is correct for that day’s production lines. Everything that goes into the room will need to be scanned accurately and at the right time. As the day goes by, you will also be responsible for creating and building “families” for the lines and ensuring that the materials are correct and ready to go. At the end of the day, you will manage the reconciliation process and ensure the products go back to the right place. 

This is a fast-paced role with a lot of moving parts. You will interface with a variety of key contacts throughout the facility including Receiving, Production, QA, Procurement and many more. 

What you will Do:
  • Follow GMP/PPE, Safety guidelines
  • Follow & maintain HACCP & Sanitation guidelines & processes
  • Confirm product coming into room is going to the correct line (accuracy is vital to traceability)
  • Understand yield standards
  • Work safely around moving equipment & conveyors in wet environment
  • Visually check (defect, FO’s, size, color, quality)
  • Schedule adherence
  • Ability to be crossed trained & multitask in multiple positions
  • Maintain safe work environment
  • Work in a fast paced environment
  • Runs product from clean kitchen to the line (JAC/IRW only)
  • Comply with SQF Regulatory Programs (USDA)
  • Understand DSI Scanner Functions to allocate inventory to various production work orders for organic and non-organic condiments and Prep.  Produce
  • Obtain and verify Prep release dates and times      
  • Scan all items set by work order prior to the decanting section for condiments and Prep. Produce
  • Perform daily inventory counts and adjustments 
  • Perform work order closing activities on a daily basis
  • Provide feedback to supporting groups when adjustments and/or DOM are needed
  • Participate on yield % losses improvements for the plant
  • Responsible for maintaining components on the assembly belt by facilitating product from the kitchen to the bowl line  
  • Report all accidents and safety concerns to Department Leadership immediately 
  • Apply work order visual implementation based on accurate condition.  
  • Perform packaging transactions per work order  
  • Manage FIFO inventory and process
  • Report nonconformance ingredients to QA and Procurement  
  • Keeps up with inventory on the assembly line and restocks when product is low
  • Maintains a clean work area at all times
  • Follow and enforce the 5S Methodology including maintaining tools and equipment as defined by the 5S marking
  • Perform other duties as needed
