The Requirements
This is an ideal role for a mechanic who enjoys working on a wide variety of equipment and tasks, and who maintains a positive, team-oriented attitude. In addition, to be a strong fit for the Machine Maintenance Mechanic 1 position, you will have:
- 2-3 years of relevant electro-mechanical experience in a manufacturing or production facility. We will also consider recent trade school graduates with strong skills Quick question for you - click here
- Technical skills including:
- Strong electrical skills with the ability to repair 110-volts and troubleshoot 480-volt systems with simple electrical controls
- Mechanical abilities including the ability to maintain, repair and replace mechanical components
- Basic welding skills (TIG/MIG)
- Basic understanding of PLC equipment
- Your own basic set of tools
- Flexibility and willingness to work extended shifts (10-12+ hours) on a regular basis, as well as additional shifts as needed

The Role
You will join a strong team supporting production by safely maintaining equipment to produce the highest quality. As Machine Maintenance Mechanic 1, you will assist with diagnosing and repairing simple and complex manufacturing equipment issues and perform routine maintenance tasks. Specifically, you will:
- Follow good manufacturing practices, personal protective equipment requirements, and safety guidelines
- Assist with troubleshooting simple mechanical systems and perform preventive maintenance
- Perform basic mechanical adjustments like tensioning drive belts, conveyor belts, tracking belts and chains; change motors, pulleys, gear boxes, and belting
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair electrical equipment
- Assist with replacing automated equipment mechanical components
- Replace slicer, cutter, dicer blade assemblies and perform necessary adjustments
- Perform other duties as assigned
