Job responsibilities
Responsible for reinforcing the Ready Pac culture of cleanliness and product performance while driving best food safety practices and compliance throughout facility. In addition, this person oversees the sanitation strategy and environmental monitoring programs used in the design and operation of our plants. This person will support Plant QA Managers, Manufacturing Engineers and R&D Scientists, and leaders in their efforts to achieve and maintain Best in Class food safety standards and practices.

Accountabilities:
- Provide oversight for environmental monitoring program including zoning, sampling, mapping and optimization of clean-in/out-place SSOPs.
- Perform Risk Assessment, lead CAPA process to remediate deficiencies and develop Hygiene KPI Dashboard.
- Analyze environmental and finished product test data and help plants monitor adherence to "line health" specifications.
- Participate in microbiological investigations and foster continuous improvement of sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with sanitation chemical supplier and associated suppliers important to hygiene.
- Provide guidance and mentoring for plant sanitarian and ensure hygiene goals and initiatives are highly visibility within facility.
- Review and audit accuracy of processing sanitation records.
- Implement the internal auditing food safety & hygiene programs, assessing the performance of the quality system in this area, reporting its effectiveness to the management and proposing actions for improvement.
- Contribute to problem solving efforts in our manufacturing facilities.
- Develop sanitation validation protocols and lead optimization process.
- Support engineering in sanitary hygienic design efforts to improve equipment cleanability and assist in new equipment FAT's to ensure clean design and sanitation SSOPs.
- Audit testing laboratories ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Share leadership for Annual Hygiene/Microbiology workshops.

What you will need:
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. degree in food science, biology or related discipline is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience developing and deploying an in-plant environmental monitoring hygiene programs in a food or drug related industry.

- Data analysis, statistical process control, and problem solving skills.
- Subject Matter Expert with FDA and USDA sanitation and microbiological testing methods and compliance protocols.
- Must possess advanced computer skills in database management , Access spreadsheets specifically with Microsoft Office products and interface via SharePoint website.
- GFSI/SQF practitioner training and able to obtain FSMA PCQI Certification.
- Must possess excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization, vendors and customers.
- Understanding of and ability to apply Lean/continuous improvement concepts in daily work.
- Ability to manage changing priorities, multi-task and to interact with different departments and as a team member.
Desired Qualifications: Experience with USDA, Fresh-Cut Produce Industry is a plus
Essential Job Functions:
- Ability to climb stairs.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
- Work schedule includes normal business hours, but must be able to work various shifts in a 24x7 business to focus on changing priorities.
- Capable of sitting at a work station for long period of time.
- Must be able to travel domestically. Up to 5% maybe required.
