To be a good fit for the Human Resources Business Partner opportunity, you will have:​
  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar required; a master's degree is preferred
  • 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible HR experience in fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environments Quick question for you - click here
  • Experience in employee engagement, employee relations, leadership development, talent management and change management
  • The ability to understand business operations from both a strategic and tactical perspective, develop solutions and implement action plans
  • Deep knowledge of all state and federal employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO and FLSA)
  • Experience supporting front-line, field-based client groups
  • Bilingual English / Spanish, French Creole or Hindi is a plus but not required
In addition, success will require the following core competencies and characteristics:
  • Proven project/change management skills, including attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

As an essential business, we are taking appropriate precautions to protect the health and safety of all employees. You'll work on-site Monday through Friday, and occasionally on Saturdays. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will join a team that includes HR Representatives, an HR Coordinator and a team of trainers. You'll serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership in Florence by helping define and implement strategies and tactics that align and integrate with business strategy and objectives. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Managing training programs, including forecasting needs, ensuring trainers are actively engaging with and supporting team members, and more.
  • Promoting employee engagement and retention.
  • Helping managers and supervisors develop leadership skills, including handling and documenting issues appropriately. Quick question for you - click here
  • Proactively identifying potential issues and responding with a head-on approach.
  • Supporting COVID precautions, such as ensuring that we are conducting temperature checks, enforcing mask requirements and following protocols when someone calls out sick.
  • Supporting corporate projects, such as promoting synergies, collaboration and consistent practices across the four US plants.
More specifically, you will:
  • Drive strategies to promote a performance culture and coach leaders and managers on the effective use of tools.
  • Assess employee training and development needs based on business strategy in order to help close gaps between current and future skill sets.
  • Create strategies and focus on acquiring and retaining top talent and on building the pipeline for future needs. Execute staffing strategies for exempt/non-exempt hiring needs. Leverage metrics such as turnover and absenteeism to develop proactive staffing strategies.
  • Coach business leaders on key organizational issues as well as HR policies and processes to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development.
  • Ensure activities are in compliance with all state and federal employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO and FLSA.
  • Plan and lead organization design projects related to business strategy (vision, mission, values), organization structure, team effectiveness and culture that create speed and efficiency and support rapidly shifting business demands.
  • Guide leaders and employees regarding Company policies, values, HR programs (benefits, pay and salary) administration and interpretation to ensure policies and procedures are handled consistently and in a timely manner.
  • Resolve employee relations issues and complete investigations in a timely manner.
  • Develop thoughtful, integrated approaches to promote diversity and inclusion in talent attraction, development and retention.
