The Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent

- Solid computer skills including:
- Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word and intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- J.D. Edwards (JDE) preferred
- Working knowledge of computerized maintenance programs
- Strong keyboarding skills
- Basic math; filing and general office skills
- Mechanical aptitude; working knowledge of OSHA, FDA and GMP requirements as they pertain to maintenance activities at a food processing facility preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required; bilingual (Spanish or other languages) highly preferred
- Solid customer service skills; ability to interact effectively with maintenance supervisors and mechanics
- Ability to:
- Work and excel in a fast-paced environment; balance multiple tasks
- Take the initiative and resolve problems
- Work both independently and as a strong team member, completing objectives efficiently
- Meet department goals and objectives
- Lift up to 40 pounds
- Flexibility to work a 1st shift position, beginning at 7 AM and including weekends, holidays and limited overtime. Typically, you'll have two days off in a row (usually a Friday and Saturday) but must remain flexible Quick question for you - click here

The Role
As Tool Crib Attendant, you will be responsible for running the Maintenance department’s Spare Parts room, including using the computerized work order system. Daily, you will communicate with Maintenance team personnel and work within the purchasing function and tool crib inventory to track and replenish parts, tools and equipment. You will Count and receive parts, create part numbers, do system corrections, move parts from one location to another and more. Specifically, you will:
- Take phone calls, talk over the radio and enter orders in the work order system.
- Properly receive parts and materials as specified by Tool Crib Receiving procedures, including proper storage.
- Format and create reports and charts.
- Submit material requisitions to replenish inventory and special orders.
- Prepare periodic inventory or maintain a perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually and via computer.
- Issue spare and replacement parts, equipment, and expendable items used in repair or maintenance shop.
- Communicate with supervisors, mechanics and other contacts.
- Learn the equipment and tool inventory, evaluate its operation
- Communicate with leadership as needed to convey key information and resolve issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
