To be a good fit for the Frontline Coordinator opportunity, you will have:​
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; a 2-year associate's or 4-year bachelor's degree is highly preferred
  • 1+ years of experience supporting performance in a leadership capacity (lead, coach, etc.) in a fast-paced production environment, ideally within the Food and Beverage or CPG industries  Quick question for you - click here
  • Experience managing line inventory is highly preferred  
  • Lead experience with teams of 20+ preferred
  • Process-driven with a strong understanding of production environments and processes; the ideal candidate will also have a strong understanding of how business works as a whole
  • Experience in a high volume, multi-shift environment preferred
  • Solid computer skills with knowledge of relevant tools such as MS Excel, database analytics software, ideally Tableau, ERP system software preferred, ideally JDE
  • Results orientation with an understanding of plant KPIs (e.g. production, quality and safety)
In addition, success will require the following core competencies and characteristics:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong speaking, reading and writing skills in English

We're hiring for the 2nd shift, Monday - Wednesday and Friday - Saturday, from 5 PM - 3:30 or until the daily production schedule is complete. Schedule flexibility is required for training and to meet production demands. You may be asked to work beyond your scheduled hours, and on Thursdays and/or Sundays when seasonal demands are high. 

Note: At Bonduelle, we take our employees' health and safety very seriously. In regard to COVID-19, we are following CDC guidelines, we provide gloves, masks and face shields to employees, and complete an hour of sanitation work between the first and second shifts as well as full third-shift sanitation.

Reporting to the Bistro Team Lead, as Frontline Coordinator, you will play an important, hands-on production role overseeing the 2nd-shift line team of 40+ associates. You will assist the Bistro Team Lead, serving as the line leader (similar to an assistant supervisor), coaching the team, and ensuring strong production flow and proper inventory usage. Based on the production schedule, you will oversee the inventory flow -- meats, cheeses, lettuce, trays and inserts, etc. -- to create finished Bistro products. You will ensure accuracy as inventory is fed into the production line, and as unused items are returned to the inventory system. This is heavy production with a constant flow. We run three production lines with eight changeovers of product per day -- 24 changeover transactions. More specifically, you will: 
  • Complete the daily schedule 
  • Oversee the pulled orders, ensuing SKUs are accurately entered into the system
  • Maintain inventory levels for unopened boxes to ensure the lines never run out of product
  • Lead, coach, train, and delegate tasks to team members, including learning the training of the Vorne Efficiency Tracking System
  • Follow and enforce GMP and PPE safety guidelines and standards
  • Follow and maintain HACCP and sanitation guidelines and processes
  • Communicate, verbally and in writing, to complete downtime reporting, hourly production rates, and BPM (bowls per minute)
  • Maintain yield standards
  • Oversee and maintain good housekeeping practices
  • Coordinate staffing of line(s), breaks, lunches and communicate to supervisor
  • Communicate and educate line associates on good product and quality
  • Comply with Safe Quality Food (SQF) regulatory requirements
  • Complete quality verification of bowl and case label (top and bottom of labels)
  • Facilitate basic machine troubleshooting/inspections for sealing equipment, case and bowl label applications, case erectors and taping equipment
  • Complete product changeover tasks
  • Oversee machine and condiment set-up and operation (sealing equipment & label applicator)
  • Verify that product meets quality standards for size and color without having foreign objects or defects
  • Oversee product rotation (FIFO) and product availability
  • Fill in where they may be gaps in the line (e.g. breaks, lunch, absences, etc.)
