To be a good fit for the Warehouse Clerk opportunity, you will have:

• Clerical/administrative experience, including solid computer skills (email, MS Office, Google Office, etc.).
• Good customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with different personalities.
• Demonstrated multitasking skills.
• The ability to:
  • Learn and follow good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and safety guidelines.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be crossed trained and work in multiple positions.
• Strong communication abilities, via email, phone and in person.

Preferred:

• Warehouse experience, such as shipping, receiving, dispatch, etc.
• The ability to read, write and speak English.
• A high school diploma/GED.

You also will need to be willing to work in temperature-controlled environments. The warehouse office can be as low as 50°. At times you will go into the warehouse area, which is about 36°. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will ship, store and distribute material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. You'll focus on the shipping side, and coordinate with another Warehouse clerk on the receiving side. In addition, you'll interact with Loaders, Leads, Supervisors in the warehouse, as well as with drivers delivering loads.

More specifically, you will:

• Schedule all inbound loads delivering.
• Check-in drivers and assign dock door.
• Separate and file all packing lists for raw product and packing supplies.
• Update R&R, key performance indicator (KPI) and warehouse scorecard.
• Receive pallet, TempTale (temperature monitoring), and freight lines on the purchase order (PO).
• Enter requisitions needed for pallets, racks, TempTale, and other supplies.
• Coordinate pick-ups for recycling, racks, broken pallets, and other items.
• Adjust unit of measurement (UOM) variances for loads received.
• Maintain stock for non-inventory items.
• Move product accepted by Quality to stock.
• Post inbound schedule for warehouse receivers.
• Communicate all shorts and bill of lading (BOL) discrepancies to Demand Planning.
• Develop knowledge and understanding of how to maintain a safe work environment.
• Send warehouse progress updates, at the direction of the supervisor/coordinator.
• Comply with safe quality food (SQF) regulatory programs.
• Work safely around moving equipment and conveyors in the wet environment.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Stay current on emails and alert the supervisor/coordinator of last minute changes. This might include, but not be limited to, last minute order additions, allocations, etc.
• Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP), personal protective equipment (PPE) and all safety guidelines.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
