To be a good fit for the Frontline Coordinator opportunity, you will have:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; a bachelor's degree is strongly preferred
  • 1+ years of experience supporting in a leadership capacity (lead, coach, etc.) in a fast-paced production environment, ideally within the food and beverage or CPG industries
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Excel, database analytics software and ERP systems
  • A results orientation and the ability to understand plant key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production, quality and safety
  • Experience managing line inventory is highly preferred
  • Experience leading teams of 20+ is preferred
Just as important will be the following competencies and characteristics:
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Skill in reading, writing and speaking English; bilingual skills in Spanish and English are a plus
  • Comprehension of basic math
  • The ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player approach
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and planning skills with strict attention to detail

We're hiring for the 2nd shift and we'll look to you to be flexible with your schedule to meet production demands. In general you will have Thursdays and Sundays off, although you may need to work extra shifts when seasonal demands are high.

Reporting to a Shift Supervisor Lead, you will play an important, hands-on role supporting our production team leads as they drive production to the highest safety, quality and efficiency standards. On your line you'll oversee and coach a team of 35 to 40 associates performing various functions, including assembly, quality control, packing, labeling and more. The team produces Bistro Bowl products that include lettuce, meats, cheeses, trays and inserts, etc., and there are both manual and automated processes.

With an overall mission of ensuring smooth flow on the line, you'll track metrics during production runs and ensure the team meets performance targets for safety, quality, productivity and yield. This will include communicating back to the team and serving as the go-to person for troubleshooting on your line. You also will monitor inventory usage.

More specifically, you will:
  • Complete the daily schedule
  • Follow and enforce GMP, PPE, and safety guidelines
  • Follow and maintain HACCP and sanitation guidelines and processes
  • Lead, coach, train, and delegate tasks to team members

  • Coordinate the staffing of line(s), breaks, lunches and communicate these to the supervisor
  • Communicate (verbally and in writing) to complete downtime reporting and hourly production rates and bowls per minute (BPM)
  • Oversee and maintain good housekeeping practices
  • Communicate and educate line associates on good product and quality
  • Complete quality verification of bowl and case label (top and bottom of labels)
  • Complete product change over tasks
  • Verify that product meets quality standards for size and color without having foreign objects or defects
  • Comply with safe quality food (SQF) regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate basic machine trouble shooting and inspections for sealing equipment, case and bowl label applications, case erectors and taping equipment
  • Oversee machine and condiment set-up and operation (sealing equipment and label applicator)
  • Oversee product rotation (FIFO) and product availability
