The Requirements
- The ability to work in a cold, wet, fast-paced, 24-hour plant environment
- The ability to work very safely around moving mechanical parts, including blades
- The ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work 10-12+ hour shifts on a regular basis, as shifts last until end of production (which can vary substantially)
- Willingness to work in a refrigerated (34°F) environment
The Role
Reporting to a Production Manager, you join a team of Machine Operators and will be responsible for operating spin dryers, heat seals, CVL, and/or blast cooler equipment. You will conduct pre-shift and post-shift quality inspections for blades, spin dryers, barrels, and flume system. You will also perform preventative maintenance of equipment when necessary.
