We're hiring for the first shift, which runs from 6 AM to whenever production is done for that day. Your days off will be Saturday and Wednesday. We'll also look to you to be flexible since we run extended hours as needed to support the business. Many of the areas where you'll work are temperature-controlled; most are below 50° and some are 36°. Because the facility is large, you'll do a good deal of walking.

Reporting directly to the QA Team Lead, as the QA Frontline Coordinator (Lead), you will manage a team of about 10 QA Techs on the floor and be responsible for the training of new QA hires and current QA associates. Quick question for you - click here

You will assist the QA Team Lead in auditing QA and Production Quality / Food Safety related activities; review of OLQC and related activities validating compliance with customer requirements (Standard Operating Procedures and Specifications). This is a role where you will be heavily involved in daily activities to help achieve quality, safety, food safety and productivity goals through the effective use of the resources.  

You will be the Coordinator for salad lines 1-6, clamshells and specialties. Although this is a supervisory position you will be required to step in to act as a QA Tech as needed to support the production lines. You’ll spend the majority of your time working in multiple areas in our refrigerated production environment. When you are not on the production floor, you will work in our QA Lab area.  

Your key outputs will be to:

More specifically, you will: 
  • Follow & enforce GMP/PPE, Safety guidelines 
  • Complete daily schedule 
  • Follow & maintain HACCP & Sanitation guidelines & processes 
  • Lead/Coach/Train/Delegate Tasks to team members 
  • Communicate (verbally & in writing) to complete KPI reports 
  • Maintain KPI data 
  • Oversee and maintain good housekeeping practices / GMPs 
  • Assign and oversee GMP audits to QA Techs
  • Communicate and educate line associates on good product and quality 
  • Comply with SQF Regulatory Requirements 
  • Review and sign CCP documentation, Audits CCP and CQP records for compliance with Food Safety and Quality Plans 
  • Review prints and files CCP1 related graphs for wash water
  • Audit and monitor critical control records and process control points for compliance with product quality, food safety requirements 
  • Assist in the investigation of quality problems and foreign objects and recommend solutions for the prevention of recurrences 
  • Audit plant sanitation, and monitors / verifies completion of Master Sanitation.   
  • Develop and train fellow associates in the team and production departments coaching and training  
  • Certify personnel by providing training on assigned tasks, policies and procedures 
  • Assist in product withdrawal tracing product information using electronic and manual systems 
  • Audit environmental monitoring compliance with established enterprise / customer requirements 
  • Coordinate QA activities as needed, provides leadership  
  • Confirm compliance with Weights by auditing MAV database Conduct Packaging Integrity and labeling audits (as needed)
