Minimum Qualifications:
  • AA Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess 2-4 years of strong customer service skills, including: 
    • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Problem-solving skills and ability to use independent discretion for decision-making.
    • Professionalism and adaptability / flexibility. 
    • Attention to detail and ability to retrieve information in timely manner. 
    • Excellent organizational and analytical skills. 
  • Experience in JD Edwards or similar order management programs.
  • Typing skills which include 10-key experience.
  • Ability to navigate proficiently within Microsoft tools and Google Suite, e.g. Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, Google Mail, Power Point/Slides, and Hangouts.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and meet daily deadlines.
  • Ability to plan and execute assignments to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Must be focused and multi tasked, and deal with frequent disruptions.
  • Daily routine is in constant flux and requires ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
  • Solution conscious versus problem oriented.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Receive and answer, within established guidelines, customer's questions and concerns.  
Physical requirements: Reaching, bending, stooping, moving and lifting 5-40 pounds on regular basis. May require going into the production areas where there is exposure to loud machinery, wet conditions and cold temperatures typically 32 to 40 degrees. Work boots/shoes, warm jacket, lab coats, and any relevant personal protective equipment will be required for time on production floor and other operations areas. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) must be followed.

We're hiring for the second "swing" shift - from 2 PM to 10:30 PM. As of right now, your days off will be Friday and Saturday, although this may change in the future and we cannot guarantee consecutive days off. 

You will need to be flexible and able to work overtime and on-call as required to meet the needs of the business, including weekends and holidays.

Reporting to the National Customer Service Manager, as a Customer Service Representative (CSR), you will take ownership of a variety of tasks including processing, verifying, and filing of customer orders. Inquiries will come in via phone and email — with the majority coming in via email. This is a diverse role that encompasses a lot of moving parts. You can expect to handle everything from pricing discrepancies and delivery issues to order entries, reporting and operational issues. 

For this shift, you will handle requests and inquiries from internal customers (departments such as transportation, accounting, credit and collections, warehouse and more) and external customers that we manage daily. It’s important to note that since you will be working the swing shift, you will be the sole CSR for about 5-6 hours. You will have the tools and resources you need to succeed such as customer profile notes, buyer information, and after hours contacts.  

More specifically, your key responsibilities will fall into the following key areas:
  • Trouble shoot and make decisions independently - Delayed trucks; loading and arrival, pending receipt of orders, pricing discrepancies, rejections, delivery discrepancies, and operational delays. Report rejections, delivery discrepancies, and operational delays and take appropriate actions. Follow up on any unresolved emails/issues from previous shifts and tag the next shift. Ability to understand transportation planned load reports. Must be in continuous contact throughout the shift with carriers, shipping, transportation, production, production scheduler, warehouse, customer service associates and customers. Responsible for communicating on any problems and the resolutions to keep all stakeholders informed of activities and concerns.    40%
  • Processing orders - Expected to maintain a high accuracy level in regards to data entry, pricing, execution of allocations, running daily reports, reviewing order volumes in comparison to forecast, timely responsiveness and proactive communication of any kind. Includes organization of documentation- filing, purging files, update procedures and systems with appropriate customer information.    25%
  • Time management - Ability to deal with distractions, new problems, unplanned events, and readjust as needed to complete an assignment.    15%
  • Product Management - Maintain broad knowledge of company/customer products, customer complexity and promotions. Ability to successfully manage new items and deplete finished good during the discontinued item process.    10%
  • Meetings - Participate in daily/weekly/monthly meetings.    5%
  • Other - Directly accountable for special projects assigned by manager/team lead as they correlate to career development. Assist in training peers individually and/or group setting. Performs other related duties as assigned.    5%
